Elections... Painting from home tonight?

Okay, I know watercolor painting may not be the first thing on your mind when someone mentions Election night... but hear me out! There are plenty of benefits:

  • Stress relief: Painting can help you relax your body and relieve stress by allowing you to focus on the image you're creating. Keeping your hands busy with painting or folding laundry help calm your mind.
  • Improved motor skills: Painting can help improve hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. And if you're painting, your hands are too busy for throwing punches. Just sayin'.
  • Creative growth: Painting can help stimulate creativity, even for people who consider themselves analytical. And you'll be able to weather whatever the outcome of the election.
  • Improved memory and concentration: Painting can help exercise the parts of the brain responsible for memory and concentration. You'll remember you can still be kind and friends even if they are on opposite sides on issues you care about.
  • Communication: Painting can help people communicate in a personal way, and painting as a group can help people bond and work together. That's definitely essential when differences arise.
  • Problem-solving, emotional growth, and optimistic attitude: Those are all important skills to weather an election, amiright?

See, painting IS the answer for everything!

All kidding aside, I have a bunch of projects ready for immediate replay, complete with PDFs and step by step instruction. You might even do a few of them if you're staying up all night to watch.
