just add sprinkles

Ever wanted to change something, Reader?

At some point in your life have you wanted to lose weight? Gain weight? Be all caught up with dishes or laundry? Be more satisfied with your job? Do more fun things?

I wonder if we tracked a percentage of our thoughts of seeking/searching/striving for something. Something that feels out of reach.

I have loved the work of Byron Katie. She emphasizes loving what IS, and the pain we inflict on ourselves when we argue with reality.

What if...

What if this tough thing you're facing is exactly what is right for you in this moment? What if you can open your understanding to learn something from this?

Well, I'm not here to say think positive and everything will be easy. Sometimes things are hard. Really hard.

But if found a secret recently. A hack.

Context: I've been wanting to eat healthier and get stronger.

I want to be running circles around my some-day grandkids. I'm not there yet (and grandkids are a loooong ways out still).

I have a gigantic jar of leftover sprinkles I took home from an event. It's been sitting untouched. As I was making myself a healthy snack a few weeks ago, and an idea struck me. What if I put sprinkles on top?

Why sprinkles?

  • A pinch of rainbow sprinkles is basically calorie free!
  • It's much more reasonable than spoonfuls of Nutella or a sleeve of Oreos.
  • Most of all, it brings a spice of fun and color.

Suddenly my all natural peanut butter on whole wheat toast was a PARTY.

And all it took was a pinch of sprinkles.

What is something simple that could light up YOUR life? Something that makes life feel more fun?

What if you...

  • Called an old friend on your drive home during traffic hour?
  • Listened to your favorite high school songs on Spotify while you did a 5 minute tidy in the kitchen?
  • Remember what's made you happy years ago and try it. I loved sitting on the floor in the sun that came in through the window in my college dorm.
  • Get the perfect pen that you love to hold as you work or make lists.

Where can you invite COLOR to be sprinkled into your life?

If you can't think of anything to, start with my 7 min trick. Clarity comes with ACTION. Let's do something.

In my courses and membership, the women I've taught and seen grow with me over the past 7 years is incredible. They have found that doing art with me brought that spark and excitement. And it trickles into everything else.

I'm curious...

Thank you for taking the time. I really appreciate it. This will really help me gauge where everyone is at. We have so many new faces in here, and I can't wait to get to know you better.

Next time I'll share more about what I do.

Let's add those sprinkles, shall we?

Glad you're here, Amber

Hey friend, You’ve been with me through some tender moments lately — thank you for reading, for replying, for showing up. I have loved each message you send.💛 These past few emails have been all about reclaiming joy, intention, and creativity — on your terms. And now, I have something special to share that I think you'll love. Next week, I’m opening something I’ve quietly been working on for a long time. I originally pre-sold this watercolor course before it was even conceived, and my early...

Hey. A few months ago I sent out an email: What's keeping you from making art? The response shocked me. Aside from time constraints and budget concerns, do you know what the number 1 thing was? Health. SO many of you are caring for a loved one in their time of need, or you yourself are struggling with health challenges. And it takes everything out of you. I want to honor that. Thank you for the love and light you bring to the world, even when it's really hard. I see you. Whether you're up...

I can't tell you how excited I am. Reader, do you know how you will be different on December 31, 2025? Years ago... I did something brave that I saw another blogger do. I chose a word of intention. At the time, I felt something was missing in my life, and I was tired. Bone tired. The word I chose for that year: BE. It completely changed everything. Instead of failing at my new year's resolutions by January 14th, I had a trajectory and vision that lasted all year long. My life began to align to...
